I can’t believe it’s October already! We had a bit of an Indian summer here in New England but the crisp air has arrived and the leaves are falling… a sure sign that winter will be upon us soon! I like the cool air, but the winter… not so much! But it does mean that I’m thinking more of all my quilt projects… and I’m happy to say I’m moving right along with my Cabin Fever BOM Quilt!
I have 9 blocks compete and sewn together. PLUS, I’ve started my border!
If you are following along, the pattern email was sent out to subscribers over the weekend and should be in your email.
I’m so excited to get the borders on now that I’ve got a look at the first one laid out!
Looking at my stars sewn together I started thinking about adding some circles at the intersections of all the star blocks… I decided to play with the picture and add a graphic overlay to see what it would look like.
I like it! This wasn’t part of the original plan, but I love to use up all my scraps so I have some scrappy circles in mind!!
I’ve already started thinking about how I’m going to quilt this!! If you follow me, you know I’m a beginner at quilting and this does intimidate me! I might have to look to some of the books I’ve recently reviewed in my previous posts for inspiration! I welcome any advice from those experienced quilters out there!
