I’ve finished my ‘Craft Book Month’ project for the Craft Buds link up!

I chose my book a couple weeks back… Aneela Hoey’s new book LITTLE STITCHES from Stash Books!   Here is my ‘Cover Photo’! lol

Aneela’s book has over 100 embroidery designs… I decided to embroider this sweet sewing machine.  I just knew I’d be able to make something out of it for my sewing studio!

I decided to embellish just a bit and added the red thread to the machine and a small pincushion for a little extra color.  I was happy with that and thought it was just what it needed :o)  NOW…  I had to decide what to make with it!   So many ways I could use it!   I decided to stay true to the book and make this FUN Needle Case!

I followed the instructions for the needle case that are included in the book, and chose to make the inside of my case quilted with simple blocks…  just ’cause I like happy colors!  I will admit that I did take a quick peek at my local quilt shop for Aneela’s fabric, I thought that would just be the PERFECT touch for my Craft Book project but they didn’t have it in stock (disappointing!)…  so I went with some bright Kona Solids and I’m in love with how cute it is :o)  Don’t you agree?

Here is a close up – my needles have never been so HAPPY!

Thanks for checking out my project!
