  28. Hi there…..I follow you via email and whenever I can, via the blog. Love your blog a lot. I am from Oregon and am a devout scrappy fan. I am finishing up a Lego quilt that I plan to donate to a group that sets up refugee families in their own housing. It’s hundreds of pieces 1.5 X 2-5″ pieces joined in strips and stitched to a foundation. Blocks are individually quilted and joined with narrow sashing.

    • Excellent prize package you’ve put together for someone! I live in beautiful Colorado, where it’s a bit chilly and plenty windy today. I’m working on a number of things right now – building a quilt with: X’s and Os, modern plusses (for positive energy), hearts and hugs quilt blocks for my Dad who’s going through chemo. I hope it’ll convey all the love I have for him and stand in for me when I can’t be there. Also, I need to start cutting fabric for my niece’s first newborn (boy!) – wanted to have it done and off to them last month (oh no!). I’m also in the Farmer’s Wife 1930’s QAL but seriously behind and hoping to catch up after Christmas when things start to settle down.   79. I am “coming off of” a very badly knitted sweater neckline (ugh!) and didn’t want to frog it. So I got out fabrics (they make me so happy!) and started a baby quilt for my niece’s friend who lives up north where it is cold. It is interesting that this soon-to-be new mother doesn’t want to know the sex of the baby before the birth, so I am working in all sorts of pastels in yellow, green, white and lavender. I went to pinterest to get ideas for the quilt and then just started sewing away! Thanks for the great question! I love the green ornament- it is so darn cute!

I am debating whether or not to hold on to them til next year.     Happily stitching up another Divided Basket, pattern from Noodlehead. Anna Graham is the ultimate bag/purse lady too so I’m also making another one entitled the “Snappy Manicure Bag”, a free tutorial she has.
    Making some scrappy placements and fabric for my kitchen, coffee bean prints from Benartex.
    Thank you so much for sharing all your projects and goodies. Kaffe Fassett was the first fabric bundle I ever bought , at a quilt show here in 2011. Love all his bright designs.

  135. I just started following your blog and love the hand quilting in so many colors. I’m working on a quilt for my granddaughter and I am going to “hand quilt” it. Bought myself a hoop that is thicker than the normal one and now just have to pick up some matching #8 floss. Thanks for the inspiration
