A Creative Retreat: Bloom in Bali

March 1–7, 2027

There are certain places in the world that seem to invite us to slow down the moment we arrive. Bali is one of them.

I’m thrilled to share the details for a small, intimate creative retreat in Bali from March 1–7, 2027. A thoughtfully curated week designed to balance creativity, culture, rest, and connection. With only 14 guests, this retreat will offer the same deeply personal experience that has defined my past Italy retreats and our upcoming Marrakesh retreat.

Please Note: Because my past guests and travel email list receive early access, only five spots remain for this intimate experience.

Two Landscapes, One Intentionally Slow Journey

One of the things that makes this retreat so special is how our time in Bali is divided. Rather than rushing from place to place, we’ll settle into two distinct locations, each offering a different rhythm and energy.

We’ll begin the week by the sea, staying in a peaceful coastal town far from the crowds. This first chapter of the retreat is all about arrival, unwinding from travel, and easing into the days with ocean views, warm breezes, and plenty of space to rest. Designed to help everyone truly arrive before we begin creating and exploring.

Midway through the week, we’ll travel inland to Ubud, Bali’s cultural heart. Here, we’ll stay in a tranquil hillside retreat perched above the lush Ayung River valley in the traditional Balinese village of Payangan. Surrounded by rainforest and rice paddies, this part of the journey offers a quieter, more introspective energy… perfect for deep creativity, reflection, and connection.

Both locations are hosted by the same award-winning boutique hotel family, known for their soulful hospitality, stunning design, and one of the world’s Top 50 Pools. Every detail has been chosen with care.

Why Bali, and Why Now?

Bali has long been a place of ritual, and artistry – a land where creativity is woven into daily life. I’ve been dreaming of visiting Bali for some time… and the timing now seems right for grounding. This retreat is an invitation to step away from constant motion and return to something slower, more grounded, and more intentional.

By splitting our time between sea and rainforest, beach and village life, we’ll experience the contrasts that make Bali so powerful – while giving ourselves permission to restore, create, and connect.

A Week of Creativity, Culture, and Care

This retreat is all-inclusive (minus airfare) and has been carefully designed to feel both expansive and easeful. Over the course of the week, guests will enjoy:

  • Luxury accommodations at both locations
  • All meals made with fresh, local ingredients
  • Airport transfers upon arrival and departure from DPS Denpasar Airport
  • A traditional textile weaving workshop
  • A hands-on indigo dyeing class
  • Optional restorative yoga sessions
  • Two spa treatments (one at each location)
  • A rice paddy walk and garden tour ending with a Balinese cooking class
  • A boat ride to a secluded beach for a picnic beach day
  • Guided explorations around East Bali and Ubud
  • A Balinese healing and fire ritual
  • Free time to enjoy nature, the sea, the rainforest, and the beautiful retreat grounds

There will be space for connection and conversation, workshops and guided tours, with quiet moments to swim, walk, journal, or simply sit and take it all in.

A Beautifully Supported Experience

This creative retreat will be co-hosted by my friend Tara Miller of The Quilt District and organized by Erin Lewis, founder of Eat Pray Move. This will be the third retreat Erin and I have collaborated on, and her experience, care, and attention to detail ensure that every aspect of the journey feels intentional, supported, and deeply considered.
