Hello Quilters!
I have been out straight this month and today I looked at the calendar and realized it’s the last day of August and I never shared Chapter 8 with you all. The pattern went out to subscribers on the 15th as usual, so please email me if you didn’t receive it (rebeccamaedesigns@gmail.com)
My diary entry for August is Do More Than is Expected. It’s rather self explanatory but I do challenge myself and push for a little extra rather than just enough. I try to exceed my original goal if that makes sense. This is part two of a three part saying – (1)Learn More than is required (2)Do More than is expected and the third part will be saved for September and Chapter 9.
I adore these large quilt blocks and the applique dots make them pretty whimsical, don’t you think? When I made my circles, I left the paper template in place in place while I appliqued, and then I back-stitched around the applique circle using pearl cotton before turning to the back of my work and cutting away the bulk and removing the paper.
You can see it all coming together!
Looking Good, right?
See you next Month!
