Chapter 4 will be emailed to quilt-a-long subscribers on the last day of March :)
Now… Let’s get to it…
It’s important to stay true to ourselves in love and in life… so I’m sending this message to ‘the boy’ as a reminder to live with truth in all his actions, as well as in his heart.
and chapter three… Live Strong
Live Strong has a positive message for me… It represents rising up and living your best life, keeping your mind and body strong, and learning how to have and maintain an inner strength… In my mind it’s an important quality to have… and an important quality to nurture.
Now… let’s look at the chapters all lined up…. ;)
I don’t know about you… but I’m really (really!) loving this center line up… I couldn’t be more pleased with how it’s looking!!! I hope you are loving it too! Here is how it fits into the quilt top…
I worked my text the same as last month in Chapter 1.
As usual I was working with over-sized background pieces, marking out an outer 6 1/2″ square and an inner 6″ square (finished size) to help me with placement. Since the block finishes at 6″ (when sewn into the quilt) I made sure that my applique was at least 1/4″ from the marked lines (finished 6″ edges).
Remember, this block will shrink when you sew your applique, so don’t use these lines for cutting when the applique is complete. They are only to be used for placement of your fusible applique. When my applique is all sewn I use a 6 1/2″ square ruler to square and trim the block to size. Make sense?
Enjoy Chapters 2 & 3 quilters! I can’t wait to see what you make!!!
