Text It! – Project 3 – Pillow Talk

We are flying through the projects and today we put the spotlight on Pillow Talk. If you follow me I’m sure you’ve seen this pillow since it made the cover!

I love to mix quilting cottons with wool as you’ll see in some of the upcoming projects, and Pillow Talk is no different.

When it was time to do the quilting I planned to quilt around the wool applique (not an appealing thought for me) but in the end I gave myself permission to do some straight line quilting right over the wool and it works! Boom, done!

My friend Pam shot these fun photos, which are a little mid century modern and I love them, probably because they remind me of the time when there was one house phone, and we shared, and call waiting was a big deal! It’s nice to go back to that slower pace once in a while…

We all need to make some time for a little pillow talk :)

Cheryl Brown – Quilter Chic

Cheryl is an author of two quilt books, several patterns and she has some great quilting tutorials and tips that she shares on her website Quilter Chic. She even has a Quiltmaker Basic Series that’s full of good information, if you’re just starting out or an experienced quilter you’ll learn something!
